The Foreign Exchange Market
The foreign exchange or “forex” market is by far the largest of the financial markets. This over-the-counter market operates virtually 24/7, excluding weekends, with an estimated turnover of more than $5 trillion per day.
The Banks
At the market’s core are the dealing desks of the banks whose primary role is to create a market place for foreign exchange by making prices, both bids and offers.
The workshop is specifically aimed at those entering the treasury/ global markets space and ancillary services to those areas (including IT, Audit, Credit, Risk), but would be beneficial to anyone in banking looking to gain an understanding of the industry.
